Splash of Yellow Petals

Splash of Yellow Petals, originally uploaded by Woody Ang.

Taken as a test to see if an advanced point & shoot is capable of equally good images as a dSLR with the right settings. Pleasing results in spite of being shot handheld indoors at night.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX1, Leica 6.3-25.2mm (28-112mm) f/2.8-4.9, Exposure, 1/4 sec at f/2.8, ISO 100

Fiery Night Flowers

Fiery Night Flowers, originally uploaded by Woody Ang.

Shoot and hope. That pretty much sums it up. One of very few
shots that came out alright even though the shot settings were a bit off. Taken during the 'Art of Fireworks' show at Lake Titiwangsa.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
Canon EOS 350D, EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 II, Exposure, 2 sec at f/8.0, ISO 400

No Love Lost in Translation

No Love Lost in Translation, originally uploaded by Woody Ang.

Unlike what it may initially seem like; these two birds are actually in the midst of a brawl. The whole scene lasted no longer than 20 seconds. Not as sharp as I’d have liked, but I can’t expect a lot from a cheap telephoto zoom.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
Canon EOS 350D, EF 90-300mm f/4.5-5.6 USM, Exposure, 1/200 sec at f/5.6, ISO 400

The Leaning Towers of KL

The Leaning Towers of KL, originally uploaded by Woody Ang.

KL's most recognizable landmark. Not the sharpest or cleanest of images but a keeper nonetheless, at least until the next attempt. The shot was captured through a glass window without a proper tripod.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
Canon EOS 350D, EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 II, Exposure, 1 sec at f/8.0, ISO 400

Hypnosis of the Peacock

Hypnosis of the Peacock, originally uploaded by Woody Ang.

After most of the day viewing peacocks with their tails closed around the KL Bird Park, this mesmerizing display presented a rare photographic opportunity. Ironically, this immortalized moment occurred just as I was packing up to exit the park.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
Canon EOS 350D, EF 50mm f/1.8 II, Exposure, 1/160 sec at f/3.5, ISO 200
