A result of some experimentation of the close-up filter with different lenses. Taken in the garden not too long after the plants were watered. It's interesting how something as simple as a water droplet can make for an intriguing photo subject.

Yet another 'decent' crop of the fireworks from the 'Art of Fireworks' at Lake Titiwangsa. How I wish we were at a better vantage point. Then there wouldn't be a need for cropping madness.

A nice splash of various colors of some of my aunt's Chinese New Year baking. Makes me feel like stealing another one of these chocolate nuts before they completely disappear. The lack of sharpness is caused by hand-holding a non-IS lens indoors.

Reflections of a Faith

One of the classic postcard landmarks in Brunei; the gold-dome Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque right at the edge of Bandar Seri Begawan. It's no wonder it's so frequently photographed, since even the simplest of compositions with the water's reflection makes for a decent shot. Would be fantastic at sunset with the multi-colored sky.

Interestingly, the bluish look to the image isn't a post-processing effect. This photo is an 'old-school' A70 capture. You can almost feel the peace and tranquility of the scene in this shot.
