Nature's Dynamic Canopy Lighting

The above capture is of the canopy walkway in the Forest Research Institute of Malaysia (FRIM). Selected this shot simply because of the variation in highlights and shadows nature herself is capable of.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
Canon EOS 350D, Tamron SP 17-50mm f/2.8 Di-II, Exposure, 1/800 at f/3.2, ISO 400

Saturating an Assignment

Saturating an Assignment, originally uploaded by Woody Ang.

This shot was actually a combination of 3 shots. The original shots were done as a favor for a friend, and I just thought I'd experiment to see what happens. The HDR results are a lil' over-saturated but I'll keep it as a benchmark for future attempts.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
Canon EOS 350D, EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 II, Exposure, 20 sec at f/5.6, 11.0 and 22.0, ISO 100

Taking Lines into Perspective, originally uploaded by Woody Ang.

This scene caught my eye when I was walking between Sunway Pyramid to the Sunway Hotel around dusk.

Ever Seen A Green Flower?

Ever Seen A Green Flower?, originally uploaded by Woody Ang.

Contrary to the title, this rather unique asymmetric pattern is actually the crown of a homegrown pineapple. The depth of field was very tricky up close, which explains why some leaves are thrown out of focus.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
Canon EOS 350D, EF 50mm f/1.8 II, Exposure, 1/50 sec at f/2.8, ISO 100

Variations of Sunlit Emerald

Variations of Sunlit Emerald, originally uploaded by Woody Ang.

This capture of Sunway Hotel was actually captured indoors behind a glass window. The resulting image really surprised me as well.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
Canon EOS 350D, EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 II, Exposure, 1/1000 at f/4.5, ISO 100

Freezing the Arch of Water

Freezing the Arch of Water, originally uploaded by Woody Ang.

A simple motion capture of a water spout from the pond outside the house. I wasn't trying very hard, so forgive the lack of punch. Projectile motion anybody?

TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
Canon EOS 350D, EF 50mm f/1.8 II, Exposure, 1/500 sec at f/2.2, ISO 100
